JOB SUMMARY: In this internship, the ideal candidate will work closely with the Manager of Graphics Fabrication Implementation and Creative Project Team. They will also assist with the organization and implementation of the graphic and signage design package for new themed projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in preparation and editing of presentation materials for conceptual development and approval.
  • Assist in coordination of production art clean up, and sizing/pre-press completion of final artwork.
  • Assist in designing and developing graphics for small signage needs and elemental graphics.
  • Assist in organization and development of Signage Package for upcoming projects.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred. 
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors may include: Environmental Graphic Design, Graphic Design, Technical Theatre

EXPERIENCE: 

Preferable skills for success in role includes but not limited to:

  • Knowledge of graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator) is required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Environmental Graphic and Signage Design, Printing, or Tradeshow Fabrication
  • Experience in Technical Theater, Interior Design, or Industrial/Product Design a plus.
  • 3D Modeling a plus, but not necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization. 
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.
