Manager, Marketing Partnerships & Communications
Manage the general marketing program and serve as project manager for the UPR Marketing Partnerships & Communications department, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President. Support the Vice Presidents of Partnership Marketing and Corporate Communications, as well as the Senior Director of International Brand Assurance. Work on general multi-park communications and programs. Help manage the development of communications programs for Universal Beijing. Serve as a primary communications liaison between our Orlando-based UPR team and the marketing team in Beijing. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop compelling sponsor integration concepts and present them to prospective partners in Mandarin. Research competitive sponsor integrations and media/marketing programs in Asia and proactively make recommendations on sponsorship and marketing opportunities for UBR and USJ. Provide translated materials for internal use and external presentation, to include presentations, meeting notes, conference reports, and emails. Assist with the development of PR, Communication, and Symphony plans for UBR, USH, and possibly USS. Work between UPR leadership team and Universal Creative project team to keep Marketing & Sales teams in Orlando and Beijing up to date on UBR project and content updates and manage documentation process accordingly. Partner with stakeholders on developing UPR Global Standards & Procedures team on development of UBR Marketing & Sales SOPs documents and complete and keep UPR Brand Protocol documentation up to date. Assist with the review of China market Marketing submissions from USJ, USS, USH, and UOR.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Marketing, Communications (any), Public Relations, International Studies, or related field and two (2) years of related experience in the job offered; a related Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Partnerships role; or related occupation. Position also requires fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English; 2 years of experience providing Chinese (Mandarin)/English language translation and interpretation services; 2 years of experience providing written translations, including project development documents, business related plans, proposals, terms, contracts and other confidential and highly sensitive material; 2 years of experience providing simultaneous oral interpretation for business meetings, negotiations, and tours; 2 years of experience leading business, cultural, and technical research; 2 years of experience providing cultural and language training, including advising senior management on American and Chinese cultural and business norms and language usage; 2 years of experience maintaining the bilingual language database for the translation/interpretation based on established phrases, terminology, and word usage; and 2 years of experience with translator/interpreter vendor management, including negotiating vendor contracts, managing vendor relationships, and billing.
