JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to Vice President, Sales & Marketing – LatAm, the Director of Marketing is responsible for establishing and implementing market-relevant strategic and tactical communication plans.

Designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand, efforts are to be focused towards driving Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood park attendance and hotel stays, via consumer and trade marketing programs. Additional responsibility in ensuring third party campaigns meets our brand and communication requirements.

  • To proactively research and evaluate developments in consumer trends and behaviours across all Latin America markets and identify relevant opportunities that will optimise return on investment from marketing initiatives.
  • To help develop a comprehensive & strategic marketing and communication plan with in-market relevance, aligned to the strategic priorities of the business.
  • To champion development of creative assets and initiatives that enable Latin America team to deliver meaningful and commercially viable campaigns.
  • To identify and deliver initiatives to drive Latin customer advocacy
  • Spearhead new and emerging market development opportunities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • B2B2C engagement and conversion
    • Leads the planning & delivery of multi-media trade initiatives to support the pre-departure sales goals
      Responsible for the development of meaningful and relevant creative assets and messaging on time and in budget
  • Consumer reach
    • Responsible for driving consumer awareness and intent to visit UPR, supporting business goals
    • Working with the Brand Strategy and Communications counterparts, defines business priorities and develops multi-channel strategic Communication plans
    • Working with International Media Agency, shapes multi-media consumer campaigns and annual budgets
    • Effective Project & Process Management
  • Personal Team Development and Talent Management

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be fluent in English and Spanish both verbal and written.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing is required.

EXPERIENCE: 7-10 Years Marketing experience, trade marketing experience is a plus, 3-5 Years management experience, 3-5 Years E-Commerce and an online environment required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
