Internship – Consumer Insights – (Spring 2020)

Internship Opportunities Commonly Available:

Consumer Insights: The primary role of this intern is to provide project support to Consumer Insights field staff. This position will provide the leadership team with regards to scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and training.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Scheduling Team Members
  • Quality assurance monitoring
  • Report verification and distribution
  • Training Field Interviewing and Mystery Shop Team Members
  • Data Entry

Consumer Insights – Continual Research Team: The intern is responsible for supporting the Consumer Insights continual team in the administration of longitudinal survey projects. The position will be assisting the team with updating reports, examining data, and improving efficiency of department processes.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Populating and updating project report presentations
  • Conducting custom data requests as needed
  • Participate in survey development process
  • Update survey programming and test surveys prior to launch

Consumer Insights – Custom Research: This intern will support the day-to-day functions of the Consumer Insights Team with various analytical, technical, and administrative tasks.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Collaborate on primary research design and planning
  • Program and test online surveys
  • Analyze, report, and present consumer data
  • Aggregate and summarize secondary research
  • Opportunity to tailor internship based on personal development goals


  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.  
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Communications, Marketing, Statistics, Business, Sociology
  • Preferred coursework completed: Statistics, Market Research


  • Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.


Preferable skills for success in role includes but not limited to:

  • Experience with Qualtrics, SPSS, SQL is preferred.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.
