JOB SUMMARY: Mechanical engineering testing and analysis related to theme park industry.  Emphasis place upon engineering analysis, advanced mathematics, engineering physics, and mechanical testing. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform engineering calculations and other engineering analysis
  • May perform testing and data acquisition to support analysis
  • Will employ engineering analysis software to reduce and interpret test results
  • Will perform simple FEA and develop engineering equations from first principles
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

  • In pursuit of a Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution; will consider Bachelor – with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred. 
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors may include:  Mechanical Engineering – Solid Mechanics or Engineering Physics

EXPERIENCE: 

Preferable skills for success in role includes but not limited to:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Mechanical vibration, stress analysis, or mechanical fatigue
  • Strong engineering mathematics and applied engineering physics
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems
  • Ability to sketch and hand build simple structures or devices
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.
