Industrial Electrical/Electronics Technician (Ride & Robotics): Seeking qualified technicians who are responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of animation, special effects, and ride/show control and electrical systems. Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections and preventative maintenance on Ride and Show control systems. Inspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable control systems.
  • Identifies system deficiencies and recommending immediate and long-term corrective action to decrease maintenance costs and decrease down times of ride vehicles. This involves researching defective mechanically-controlled items/parts, instructional information to complete the repair process when needed, referring to technical manuals, technical library, and the CMMS system while utilizing a systematic approach.
  • Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Maintains PLC controllers and/or variable speed motors.
  • Troubleshoots Electrical Control Systems and understands sensor technology. Possessing the knowledge of testing equipment and having the ability to operate digital/analog circuitry, volt/amp meter, and chart recorder up to 480v.

Ride Mechanic: Seeking qualified technicians who are responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of animation, special effects, and ride/show mechanical systems.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Maintains, both preventive and corrective, Ride and Show mechanical systems.
  • Participates in the testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable mechanical systems.
  • Responds to down times and both show element quality repair and ride recovery related issues.
  • Performs assembly and disassembly for annual inspections and verifying quality control/NDT requirements have been met.
  • Logs completion of inspections, corrective action and/or repairs made and listing applicable parts used.

Air Compressor Mechanic: Seeking qualified technicians to perform all preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing on all UO air compressors and air dryers; must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic; will be working by themselves most of the time but will need to interact with the customer/owner of the equipment.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Performs monthly & quarterly PM’s and inspections on all UO owned air compressors and air dryers
  • Diagnoses failures and perform repairs on all UO air compressors and air dryers
  • Requisition parts from storeroom or coordinator to ensure you have the material to perform PM’s and repairs
  • Performs other minor maintenance and repairs in the Auto Shop which can include forklift and high reach repairs.

Show Systems Technician (Audio/Visual): Seeking qualified technicians to perform preventative, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance of all audio and visual equipment; provides technical support in the day-to-day park operation of large computer controlled audio/visual, electronic messaging, projection, network, lasers, and surveillance equipment.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance towards resort A/V systems, projection systems, surveillance systems, laser systems, and network systems. Inspections include testing, cleaning, replacement, verification and/or calibration of applicable control circuits/systems.
  • Responsible for analysis and diagnosis of systems and components to provide immediate and long term solutions that will improve operational reliability, safety and serviceability of Audio/Visual equipment, projection equipment, surveillance equipment, laser systems, and network equipment through improved diagnostics and engineering approved software and hardware revisions. This entails logical extensive troubleshooting, referencing of technical drawings/manuals, specifications and the CMMS system.
  • Performs modification to audio/visual equipment as directed by management or engineering; performs diagnostics and repairs to all audio/visual equipment as assigned.

Lighting Systems Ride & Show Control Technician: Seeking qualified technicians to perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, coding, and repair of lighting control systems and special effects

Essential Duties Include:

  • Diagnoses system failures and provide immediate and long-term corrective actions. Involves researching defective electronically controlled various lighting equipment to include but not limited to dimmer racks, relay racks, control consoles, lighting fixtures and consoles, computers, networking equipment (Ethernet switches, nodes, POE devices), DMX distribution systems (opto-splitters, mergers, terminators), wireless data transmissions systems (DMX, Ethernet). Apply basic electrical theory to operate, troubleshoot, and repair SCR dimmers. Instructional information to complete the repair process when needed. This entails logical and extensive troubleshooting and referring to technical manuals, technical library, and the CMMS system while utilizing a systematic approach.
  • Performs modifications to Ride and Show lighting fixtures, equipment, or design as directed by the Universal Engineering/Creative/EHS/Attraction Operations departments. Utilize and update focus diagrams and technical prints to ensure proper function, output, and color temperature of each show light.
  • Performs modifications to Ride and Show lighting control code, as directed by the Universal Engineering and/or UO Creative departments. Properly document all code changes.
  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections and preventive maintenance towards R/S lighting control systems. Inspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable lighting control systems.

Ride & Show Helper: Seeking candidates to supports all areas of Ride & Show processes by assisting technicians in a variety of work classifications. Handles the day-to-day, broad responsibilities within the repair groups throughout the department.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Disassembles and cleans parts for a variety of ride vehicles as directed.
  • Performs Fire Watch duties as needed and assist welders with set up, tear down and support.
  • Maintains consumable stock to appropriate levels in support, picking up and delivering to the Stock Room
  • Operates forklift, high reach, trucks, golf carts and load-all to move materials.
  • Transports ride parts and components to and from venues and work facilities for repair, welding, machining, painting, fiberglass and/or rebuilding.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all shop areas. Emptying trash cans and dumpsters as needed.
  • Maintains and fills paint mixing orders on a daily basis. Cutting different types of metal and other materials using power saws and shears.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a commercial/construction/industrial setting is required
  • Valid Florida Drivers License

Positions in Ride & Show require:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and or move between 20 and 50 pounds
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
