SUMMARY: Responsible for serving food and/or beverages to the guests according to established standards. Maintaining guest satisfaction and keeping dining area clean at all times.


  • Ensure that guest receive prompt, friendly and personalize service. Suggestively sell food and beverage items by possessing knowledge of menu items and ingredients. Ensure that orders are taken and placed accurately, check on tables, provide condiments, and replenish drinks and/or bread.
  • Follow cash handling procedures including the ability to operate cash register system.
  • Ensure adherence to the Florida State Liquor Statutes.
  • Maintain positive guest satisfaction by answering questions, accommodating special requests, appropriately handle complaints to the guests’ satisfaction and/or solicits assistance from the managers.
  • Pre-bus tables, maintain area, organize and clean service stands and complete side work.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Consistent attendance is a job requirement.


  • High school degree or GED preferred.


  • 0-1 Year: six months to one year previous food and beverage/customer service experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

  • Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) stand; walk; use hands and fingers to, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) talk or hear; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and taste or smell; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally (1/3 of the time or less) sit.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
