SUMMARY: Control the flow of merchandise or food to ensure appropriate stock levels are being maintained throughout various locations and/or carts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inform management of stock levels to ensure proper inventory and stock. Receive, verify, and count incoming shipments from warehouse or vendors.
  • Stock the location(s), optimize usage of stock rooms and shelving space and keep stockrooms clean and organized.
  • Process damaged product by removing from location(s) and filling out proper paperwork.
  • Partner with management to ensure optimum stock levels and maintain the appearance of the location.
  • Positively impact the guest experience through the execution of guest service standards. Assist on sales floor when needed.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

  • Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-1 Year: Six months to one year prior cash handling or retail sales experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

  • Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) stand; walk; sit; talk or hear; use hands and fingers to, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

  • Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Be exposed to a loud work environment.
